The Head and the Heart in Concert
With an infectious style that combines folk, country, pop, and smart songwriting, Seattle, Washington's The Head and The Heart have earned a reputation as a consummate live act, charming concertgoers with their layered arrangements and intricate vocal harmonies. In 2013, the band released their most confident and mature album to date, Let's Be Still, featuring lead single "Shake," an indie folk stomper that perfectly captures the energy of the band's live performances. After meeting at various open mic nights around Seattle, the band officially formed in 2009, touring the Pacific Northwest before releasing their self-titled 2010 debut album. The buzz of that album attracted the interest of several labels, and the band ultimately signed to Sub Pop Records, who re-released The Head and The Heart LP in April 2011 with additional material including "Down In The Valley, "Lost in My Mind," and "Rivers and Roads." The band toured widely throughout 2010 and 2011 as a supporting act for Dave Matthews, Death Cab For Cutie, and The Decemberists, also headlining their own shows before returning to the studio to record their sophomore album. On tour in 2013, the band impressed ticket buyers with their eclectic live concerts, leading audiences through foot-stomping sing-alongs of the indie folk anthems they've become known for.
The Head and the Heart will release their four studio album called Living Mirage on May 17, 2019. They start touring in the summer of 2019 with 39 dates in support of the new album along with the alternative rock band Hippo Campus on select dates.

A very good show all performance were great. The staff at MTELUS were very friendly, we had a great evening
The first opening act was Anna graves, she was really good and reflected the theme of the concert. The second band (futurebirds) was not the band for that concert. Went on for to long. The Head and the Heart were great as always.
The Head and the Heart is incredible live! Great show, great venue. 👍🏻👍🏻
Show was amazing, they played most of my favourite songs, they sounded phenomenal and had pretty good crowd engagement. The opening bands were very good, Futurebirds put on an wildly entertaining, fun performance and got the crowd hyped and ready. Anna Graves also put on a great show perhaps seemed a little nervous while talking to the crowd but did not affect her performance as far as I could tell. All around great show, I would see them again in a heartbeat.
Wish that this venue had a tent or overhead item that could be put up for rain, but otherise the show was great and continued without interruption!
I went to the Head and the Heart's concert at RBC Echo Beach, in Toronto and it was an incredible night! The weather was crummy (rain) but the event experience was smooth from the check-in/registration side of things and the venue was great because it was so open. I was ecstatic that I was able to get quite close before Shakey Graves came and then after with some people leaving, I actually made it to the very front!!! This was my first time seeing the Head and the Heart - they are SUCH a talented group, they put on an amazing show, loved, loved it! This may have been the best concert I've been too and I've been quite a few. Even with poor weather I had a fantastic night! Thank you the Head and the Heart!
Shakey Graves and The Head and the Heart brought high energy, light and levity to a damp and rainy evening. Pure magic.
You know how a lot of bands sound the same or not as great as their clean recordings? Not Head and the Heart— they are amazing live and their energy, performance skills, and raw talent make the whole experience so worth braving a rainy day!! We loved that they played all the classics along with their new stuff; it was a perfect balance! Will definitely be buying tickets every time they’re in town!
Great energy by the band. There was a mix of songs of the new album, and other from their collection.
An amazing concert! Great band! Loved it! They played all their hits. It was an uplifting show.
